Livestock thefts Broxholme and Wharton areas

Information sent on behalf of Lincolnshire Police

Farmwatch message from Market Rasen Police Station 26th April.
Overnight 24th / 25th April offenders climbed over fencing to a farm park at Wharton near Gainsborough and stole chickens, a peacock, 2 golden pheasants and 10 guinea fowls.  Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in this area is asked to call police with incident number 261 of 25th April.

Between 11.30pm last night and 5.30am this morning offenders using a 4x4 vehicle entered fields to a poultry farm at Broxholme.  Once access was gained they then entered sheds and stole a quantity of chickens.  Offenders had removed fencing to access the fields then replaced it before they left so as not to raise suspicion.  Again any information to police please with incident number 47 of 26th April.

Finally at about 2.40am this morning a vehicle described as a red Discovery 4x4 visited a car park on Hillrise at Rothwell.  Males within the vehicle then shone torches onto vehicles parked in the car park.  The vehicle then left the area with no lights on, so as not to attract any attention, before heading off in the direction of Caistor.  Clearly offenders are targeting certain forms of livestock on your area, please be extra vigilant report any suspicious behaviour to police immediately on 101.

Thank you
