Local Information for Boston

Information sent on behalf of Boston Borough Council:

Scam Alert

Boston Borough Council has become aware of bogus companies claiming to be from the council to secure works to retrofit homes with measures including solar panels and air source heat pumps.   In some cases, solar panels are being installed incorrectly, disconnected and with companies leaving scaffolding on homes.  If you are having improvements done as part of the Council’s Green Homes Grants works, any information and communication relating to your case will always have a unique case reference number.   If you are unsure of any company calls or doorstep approaches, contact the Home Energy and Retrofit team on 01507 613573 who will be able to check your case and confirm any details.   All contractors working alongside us on the scheme - whether at the door, by email or over the phone - will be able to quote the customer’s unique case reference number at the start of any call/correspondence. If they cannot quote the number, you are advised not to allow entry or should end conversations and then contact the HEART team for clarification.

Community Rangers

Boston is set to see a significant boost in community safety measures with the introduction of two new Community Rangers following a successful application for grant funding from The Home Office'.  Full details -https://bit.ly/3Pd8piZ
