The bike in the picture is an electric pedal cycle converted to be used with a throttle. This moves into the motorcycle class of vehicle.
The rider and a pillion travelled through Lincoln recently and stopped off at a shop on Brayford Wharf East. They didn't realise they had been followed by one of our plain motorcyclist team.
As they stopped the officer made himself known and the two fled.
We've recovered the bike and we'll keep it for a while; if the rider wants to get in touch. We've got a small piece of paper for him too, with the words 'Court Summons' written on the top.
No, we didn't think so either, so we'll crush the bike and carry on our patrols.
