Expected high volume of traffic |
Residents and visitors are advised to plan ahead as higher traffic volumes and congestion are expected in Lincoln city centre and surrounding areas tomorrow due to several planned events taking place throughout the day. These include Lincoln City’s final home game of the season, a university event, and a charity event involving horse‑drawn vehicles.
The charity event is expected to impact traffic on the A46. Riders will travel from The Imp Pub around the A46 to The Windmill, before continuing to The Crown and Arrows, The Plough, and then returning through the city to The Imp. The event is due to begin at around 10am and is expected to finish by approximately 4.45pm.
Officers will be visible throughout the day to help keep people safe and traffic moving, however some delays and congestion are likely, particularly at peak times. Anyone travelling into the city is advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journey. | ||
