Suspicious activity on driveway near Horncastle leads to arrest |
||
|
We received a call in the early hours of Tuesday morning (28 April), by a concerned member of the public who lives alone in a secluded property in Hemingby, just north of Horncastle. They’d disturbed a man snooping around their car on the driveway. A description of the suspect was circulated and while out on patrols just ninety minutes later, eagle-eyed PC Brereton spotted a man matching that description walking along the A158. The 30-year-old man was picked up and following a road-side search was arrested on suspicion of possession of class A and class B drugs. But in a twist of fate, it turns out that this man was also wanted on suspicion of being involved in a burglary of Coral Bookmakers in Lincoln, on 7 April. The man has been released on bail with conditions pending further inquiries. Please continue to report any concerns or suspicious activity. Even if you don’t see immediate action, the information you share is essential in helping us to build a richer intelligence picture and to focus resources where they are needed most.
