Witness appeal following a serious collision

We are sad to update two people have died following a collision on Wednesday evening at Haugham, near Louth.  

The collision which happened on the A16 London Road between Haugham and Burwell was reported just before 6.20pm on Wednesday 29 April.

Three vehicles were involved, a red Vauxhall Corsa Adam and two motorcycles which were both grey Kawasakis.  The Red Vauxhall was being driven towards Louth and the grey Kawasakis were travelling towards Burwell.

Both motorcyclists, a women in her 60s and a man in his 70’s sadly died at the scene.  They are both from the Lancashire area.  Our specially trained officers will be providing support during this very difficult time.  

The road was opened in the early hours on Thursday 30 April.

As part of our investigation we are appealing for witnesses and any recorded footage that will help with our inquiries.  Anyone who saw any of the vehicles prior to the collision or anyone who witnessed the collision, or has any recorded footage that maybe available is asked to contact the Investigating Officer by calling 01522 212316 or by email at SCIUinvestigators@lincs.police.uk
