Lincoln City FC promotion parade - 9 May

On Saturday 9 May, 2.30-4pm, an open top bus parade will tour Lincoln to celebrate the Lincoln City Football Club league win and promotion. Please see the route map below.

Roads in and car parks will be very busy and if you are not joining the celebration, you might prefer to avoid Lincoln for the afternoon. There will be some travel disruption as some roads will be closed before and during the event.

Our officers will be out in force and don’t be alarmed if you see armed officers and drones. This is all part of the plan to keep the city safe. 

We are working together with the club, City of Lincoln Council, and Counter Terrorism Policing to make sure that this is a fun and safe event for everyone and we are proud to be a part of this. 

There is a no-fly zone for drones over the event. It is a criminal offence to fly a drone over the parade or the crowds watching. We will be deploying drones to monitor the parade for safety reasons.

If you see anything suspicious or that you’re not happy about, come and speak to a friendly steward or police officer.
