Appeal after collision near Branston

A woman in her 50s has died following a collision near Branston.

We were called at 7.24am on Sunday, 21 June to the B1188, Sleaford Road, between the village and Potterhanworth Heath.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision: a grey Vauxhall Corsa, which had been travelling southbound, and a black Kia Stinger, travelling northbound.

Sadly, the driver of the Vauxhall Corsa - who was from Lincoln - was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Kia, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A road closure was put in place while emergency services attended the incident.

We are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the collision to contact us.
