Update to Lady Meers Road, Cherry Willingham Incident

Officers attended a concern for welfare at a property in Cherry Willingham in the early hours of this morning (12 July).

We were called at 1.22am and officers remained at the scene while the incident was safely brought to a conclusion.

No injuries have been reported.

A 39-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident on suspicion of threats to kill, assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH), and possession with intent to supply a Class B drug. He remains in police custody.

We recognise that the large police presence in the area may have caused concern for local residents.
