Drugs warrant executed in Gainsborough

Officers carried out a drugs warrant at two addresses in Gainsborough yesterday morning (19 August).

At around 11am, officers attended two properties on Heaton Street, Gainsborough, and conducted searches of both addresses.

A quantity of suspected drugs was recovered during the search.

A number of people were arrested at the addresses on suspicion of drug-related offences.

Three men, aged 25, 36 and 42, and a 45-year-old woman were arrested and have since been released on bail.

Neighbourhood Policing Inspector Michael Head said: "Today's warrants demonstrate our commitment to tackling drug-related crime and bringing those we suspect of being involved before the courts. We will continue to target individuals who exploit and harm our communities through the supply of illegal drugs, and I would encourage anyone with information about drug-related activity to report it to us."

Officers remained in the area while further investigative work was carried out. That work has now concluded, and police are no longer at the scene. We would like to reassure residents that there is no ongoing risk to the wider public.
