Officers arrest three men and recover suspected stolen caravan

Three men were arrested and a suspected stolen caravan recovered on Monday.

We received a call at 3.15pm reporting the theft of a caravan in Sibsey; the caravan was later located by our officers.

Following swift work by our teams, two vehicles believed to be travelling on cloned plates were identified.

An effective operation saw the vehicles – a Land Rover Discovery car and a Citroen car – stopped in Orby.

A man in the Discovery, aged 40 and from Essex, and two men in the Citroen, a 58-year-old from Durham and a 43-year-old from London, were all arrested on suspicion of theft.

The 40-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.

All three remain in police custody.

If you saw the vehicles before they were stopped or have any information that could help our investigation please call 101 quoting Incident 203 of 5 October.
