Lincoln £2million drug line take down – how we solved it |

Seven convicted. More than 30 years in prison. £2 million worth of drugs supplied over 18 months. This is how ‘Operation Experiments’ unfolded. We reported recently about seven co-conspirators of a drugs gang who were sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court in October. This was thanks in part to a tip off from a member of the public to report something suspicious – what they had seen was £60,000 of cash being handed over for a drug deal. The operation took down a major supply network that was profiting from addiction and vulnerability while causing significant harm across our communities. Cases of this scale require patience, dedication and collaboration. Behind every conviction are countless hours of work by neighbourhood officers, intelligence teams, investigators, specialist departments and our partner agencies and forces. This result reflects the professionalism and determination of everyone involved in bringing these offenders to justice and protecting our communities from the harm caused by serious and organised crime. Here’s a link to the sentencing release with the case details. How we solved itClick the link here to watch as Detective Sergeant Adam Petty explains how officers meticulously gathered the evidence, uncovered the full extent of the conspiracy and brought those involved before the courts.
